Two wins for the men’s team in the first tournament

The first tournament of the season brought home four points despite a dissapointing performance on the pitch. In the first game FC Brändöpojkarna handed over two points after a fairly solid defensive performance. In the second game Mousetrap pulled up an early lead but could not maintain it. As a couple of players (Kim Hammarberg and Peter Lassfolk) got hit by the flu right before the games and Nico-Petteri Saarela was not granted permission to leave from military services the team was relying heavily on three come-backing former youth team (2004-2005) players. Jens GranqvistJonatan Ahlvik and Hans-Henrik Nordström joined in and performed well. This led to a situation where the men’s team could line up two units and Milo in the net. Lineups: Mats (1+1) and Jonatan (0+1) defenders behind Jens (2+0), Söddin (2+3, 2 min) and Ricke (3+2) as well as H-H and Rasse (1+1, 2 min) defending behind Jani (2+0), Henkka (0+2) and Mika (1+0).

Jens scored the opener when he capitalized a pass from Söddin in the eight minute in the first period. The men’s team added to their lead until Rasse kicked in a deflection behind Milo. The scoresheet can be found here.

In the second game of the day Mousetrap pulled up an early lead but could not maintain it.
